Forum update

Postby Thinkharder » Sat Nov 16, 2013 4:34 pm

I've finished updating our forums to help stop the spam and to give them a bit of a refresh. Here's a complete list of what I've done

  • Reinstalled and updated forum
  • Installed and modified new theme
  • Removed advertisments
  • Removed redundant user groups
  • Redone permissions
  • Installed robust anti-spam mod
  • Setup custom profile field and Q&A questions to further deter spammers
  • Setup a system to prevent new-user spam on main forums if any get through
  • Sorted the links on the main website to rules and roster
  • Some other stuff

Any issues or requests let me know here.

Firstly: thank you! You really did a great job and I appreciate it.

I currently have no objections as after some short accommodation time the forum seems perfect to me as it is (a rare thing indeed). Looks simple yet smooth, is easy on eyes, compact in a way I really like and is just great!

Its utter crap. Its not done properly, the graphics suck and there is NO ADMIN SUPPORT!

It crashes constantly, never saves properly, and is generally terrible. Really more of an Alpha then a forum update. Cad.
